Running your own race

A reminder to self:

When one is caught in constant struggle
And Life seems to be spiraling down and endless dark tunnel
It is difficult to remain hopeful,
With pressure and expectations unmet
A challenge to believe one can overcome, the battles in our path
Often we do not realise
That those who overcame their circumstances
Are ordinary Men and Women like us

As we fix our eyes, on other's lives
Jealousy consumes us like fire
A seemingly perfect life is what they have
It makes us green with envy!
Could it be just face value?
So do not judge the world with rose tinted lenses!
As each of us are unique and special,
We can be winners in our own ways!

Dreams are building blocks to greater heights
So cling onto your dreams with all your might
Work on your dreams even during the test of time
Even when all odds are against you
Do not give up!
Take a leap of faith and keep believing
In a possibility,
that your dreams will become a reality!

So do not compare, do not despair
As each of us have our own struggles
We can be victorious in our own ways
Just as long as we run our race
And not someone else's race!
