The rainbow stayed long enough for me to snap various shots of it but disappeared when I was about to "follow" it to see if I could find my pot of Gold at the other end! Looks like I need to work to earn my keep! There is no other way out!

It was not too long ago when I heard the words "Pens Down, Please stop writing!"

I have been dreaming of this day - The last exam of my school life, since I first entered University - My exact words :" I can't wait to get out of school, cause I simply hate the course and school to the core! I am in the Wrong degree & Wrong School! "

I thought I will be filled with jubilation, have the temptation to jump up and down the exam venue, wave my hands in the air and shout YAHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I was partly restrained by the image conscious side of me, who did not want to be labelled as a lunatic/ weirdo - SGP is so tiny, weird news travels even faster than a bullet train in Japan! I was partly surprised that when everything ended, in place of jubiliation I was filled with much regret!
I feel that Uni Life is a little Overrated![ I bet many of you will disagree with me ] It is not compulsory to fill your Resume with countless prestigious internships or various CCAs/competitions & attend those parties/bashes [plaster those fake smiles on your face and act like you are having the time of your life] just to build up your "NETWORK"!
for three years:
I never participated in any school activity,
In fact I hardly explored the school!
{ I was only familar with the canteen &
how to get to the lecture theatres & library!}
Was a sleeping member in Odac for two months,
Other than that I never joined any cca.
Made many wrong choices in course selection!
I often got really pathetic grades!
The non "tahanable" acquaintances,
Outnumbered the friend/s I made!
Hated canteen food to the max,
But ate it to hush the rumbling of my empty tummy!
Hated the stinky toilet even more!
Drove to school once - for my last lesson!
Coordinated my timetable in such a way,
that I had 1,2,3 free days in yr 1,2,3 respectively!
An Internship for the E********! - the company i met made it bearable!
A short summary of my 3 years!
For many Uni Life is the most enjoyable time,
of their whole school life,
Maybe for others, but definitely not for me!
A Relief from the stinky & mundane life I had in Uni: Grateful for Summer Breaks and Free days!
Yr 1
Went for my maiden backpacking trip to Darwin
Was very Home Sick - called back everyday
Was Silly, didn't buy a calling card
Chalked up a huge phone bill!
Returned with an overweight baggage
Filled with Sweets & cocoa powder for friends which I found could be bought in SGP! [dumb right]
My Cloth Baggage was cut!
Heading off to Vietnam next with my family
Travelled from the North to the South
Came back with huge conical hats!
And a huge love for Viet Food (:
Only regret was not buying their traditional costume
S told me that she paid $8 for it,
so when the tailor wanted to charge me $12 for a tailored set
Being narrow minded I insisted of just paying just $8 for it,
when my bargaining power didn't work ,
I didn't buy it!
AND it was not the MILK Fruit Season
Yr 2
Went to the UK alone,
Had a Memorable Experience!
Was a dumb idiot again
I forgot to buy a calling card,
Chalked up an even larger bill than the previous time!
This time my luggage lock was cut at Heathrow on the way back!
Went cookbook crazy there,
as it was so so so so much cheaper than Singapore
carried home 4 cookbooks!
Under-estimated the weather,
brought shorts and sleeveless and too many tops
ended up buying 2 jackets as I was freezing!
Lost my fleece even before I wore it,
dropped it without realising I dropped it
thankfully they were kind enough to send it back to London!
Helped out at C**
An eye opener!
Joined Salsa - found out from there I had two left feet,
Took Spanish - together with my partner, coined out weird, idiotic and absurb phrases which were quite lame but highly amusing! Realised that I didn't have a flair for the language!
