Hours with them always fly by at rocket speed !

The chinese believe that eating Noodles will bring a life of Longevity. The four of us ordered 4 bowls of noodles, so even though it is an "old wives tale" or "ancient superstition" I would love to believe in it! Looking foreward to our golden years together!

With the police hot on their heels to nab young drunk drivers at roadblocks set up along many roads & the risk of losing the driving license. To avoid getting a mega hang-over the next day plus Ms A was on medication and we had two drivers in the group. I enjoyed the kaffeklatsch (coffee + gossip) at CQ.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
High on coffee and as the nights was still young, to satisfy Ms S and My curiosity, Mr S gamely agreed to be our tour guide to the infamous redlight district in Geylang - Lor 12. Cruising down the street in his Honda Jazz, it had the feeling of at art's gallery. There was a whole long row of "paintings" hanging on both sides of the street. If I could put a name to the exhibition, I would call it the "MINIMALIST". The "paintings" were hung about 1/2 a meter away from one another. A common theme running through all the "paintings" - an air of feminine sexiness, temptation, bold & forthcoming surrounded them! A couple of "paintings" looked uber stylish and classy and if "hung" at any Up- Market Bars, Wine House or an Expensive Eatery, they could easily blend in with the rest of the other "paintings". What's an art gallery without potential buyers? We saw many! Some were just admiring from far, Some highly interested buyers were seen negotiating with the "paintings" whether it was a valuable buy for the price quoted on the price tag. Lastly a couple of proud new owners who were satisfied with their purchases, had their arms wrapped around the prized "paintings" and "walked" out of the store with them.

Had a Picnic:

at a different venue from the norm

not at East Coast Park,

not at West Coast Park,

not at Botanical Gardens

But

at a Beautiful Location

overlooking the Singapore River

with Towering Majestic Buildings in the Horizon

A Captivating view of The Fullerton Splendor

& The ACM as our neighbour

We were sitting on a Hot Spot

On Prime land

Within the CBD

With Steep Rental Prices

The only downside,

the drinks attracted the Ants

and some fell into the cups!

But they died a painful death,

by drowning in the syrup

Had the experience of what it was like to be cage animal with on-lookers gawking at me
Let's Talk About Another "O Word"
i am growing
OLD
you know you are growing old when ...
1) You have blown off 21 Candles from your cake! A "warm" welcome to Adult Hood!
2)You are just 3 yrs away from being classified under Mid 20s!
3)An outing with your Girlfriends, includes the discussion on the benefits of taking Calcium Tablets, Tying the Knot with that special someone, Mortgages & Loan Payment for the Car & House, Kindergardens and Courses for Children, Jobs, Health Scares and Regular Check-Ups ... blah blah blah
4) You no longer have the patience and desire to squeeze & queue for hours with teens, who are 5-10 years your junior, just for a seat at some eatery which used to be one of your favourite hangouts 5 years ago
5)You junk all your mini skirts out of your cupboard as you feel that they are way too short! You stop buying tee shirts and you hunt the streets for office wear!
6) The only exercise you get is walking to and from the MRT station every day, as you are just too lazy to run! Just a ten minutes run leaves you breathless so you see no point in running!
If I am growing Old, means you are all growing Old too :P

Lets Talk About the 'O' Word!

OBSESSION

My Mum usually turns a little irritated whenever she finds caterpillars, grass hoppers or other mini pests munching and chomping on her herbs and plants. What is usually left is a skeletal structure of the original leaf or at the extreme case only the stalk! She finds great joy in catching them in plastic bags or cutting off insect infested leaves, she does it like once a day!

My Dad, loves sweeping up the leaves that are blown into the patio. He usually sweeps them up min 3 times per day! Cutting off the unsightly yellow and brown leaves on the plant, is his stress reliever.
Being their daughter, my obsession can't be too far off from something to do with nature. I love to doodle on my text and notes - and yup you have guessed it rightly! I heart drawing flowers and leaves (:
